My name is Merenia, I was born and raised here in Rotorua and I am a 34 year old mama of 5 tamariki. 

My passion in life has always been to own & operate my own Pakihi (Business).

I consider myself blessed, with amazing diverse creative abilities, that have been universal in all the past ventures I have pursued. From building children's furniture, to Acrylic nails, Box braid extensions, memory keeping locket, Jewellery and the list goes on.

I would love to say that I have always had a passion for baking and decorating but that is not my story... I had actually only realised that I had a good hand and eye for cake artistry 18 months ago as I was a cheap skate and did not want to buy my children's birthday cakes, so I made them myself. After the many comments I got I decided to make cakes. From there my cake craft has blossomed in to this amazing pakihi (Business) that you see today but I would  not have achieved it without the amazing humans around me and my amazing customers who I appreciate so much.

So today the 28th of March 2022 I am starting the next chapter of Fanciful Cakes and I hope you are all jumping on board for the ride.

 

UPDATE - We are in December of 2022 can not wait to see what 2023 has in store for us.

UPDATE - 1st November 2023 - Business is booming and Boujee Bars are trending. There is no way in this would I could have ever dreamt this for myself soooooo buzzed. So grateful, so blessed.
